Word of the Day: 失笑する (shisshou suru)

The-Power-of-Laughter

The first charakter 失 can be translated as “loss”, while the second one 笑 is the one for laughter, so it really is “losing laughter”, which describes having a fit of laughter perfectly. I admire people who can lose themselves in laughter so completely. They usually have also a laugh that is  very contagious.

I don’t know about you, but I definitely laugh not often enough, which I was once again reminded of while reading (and reblogging) the post from OM “Nine Reasons being Asian is Awesome“. I really needed a laugh and yet I did’t even realize it.

The picture above is taken from the Evolutionzine: The Power of Laughter: Free E-book Package. Check it out, if only for the video of the laughing baby; no matter how many times you see it, it will make you laugh (^_^)
